Facebook Is Permanently Moving To Its Redesigned Version, RIP Classic Mode

Did you know Facebook introduced a complete desktop redesign in March? If it doesn’t ring a lot of bells, it’s probably because you opted to retain the classic version back then.
The revamp features a streamlined UX boasting quicker loading times and transitions, as well as a monochrome dark mode. Facebook had made it optional then, and let users switch to the classic mode if they preferred to.
Unfortunately, no matter how attached you are to the older design, you’ll soon have to live with the new Facebook. Engadget reports that users have been receiving alerts that the previous design will be completely phased out next month.
“The classic Facebook experience will no longer be available starting in September,” Facebook confirms in its notification.
If you’ve been using the mobile app, though, the new desktop version shouldn’t be too much of a learning curve as it is an extension of the mobile interface.
Nevertheless, you might wish to get acquainted before the new permanent design takes effect come September:
