Residents of San Francisco woke up to an eerie orange sky due to the wildfires in the state.
Now, a drone video that fused music from the film Blade Runner 2049 with a scene of the city has been widely shared on social media.
The video showed San Francisco’s cityscape covered in orange-tinted skies as strong winds carry smoke and ash across California. Many captured what the city looked like using drones.
“This video was taken around 11am when it would normally be bright and sunny,” read the caption on YouTube channel DoctorSbaitso. Twitter user @terrythethunder then decided to set the clip to the music from the science fiction video and shared it online.
The video has racked up almost 800,000 views on Twitter, with multiple responses from Twitter users. “It looks like Mars,” a baffled user tweeted. “Someone put Blade Runner 2049 music to drone footage of San Francisco and at first I didn’t know whether to be amazed or horrified,” another user wrote.
Check out the official trailer for the movie below, for reference.
