Gucci Jumps On Internet Trend That Pokes Fun At How It Dresses Its Models

Gucci is taking advantage of the hype that came from the TikTok trend, called #GucciModelChallenge, which saw users dressing up as the brand’s runway models.
It started from TikTok user Morgan Presley, who suggested that anyone can look the part of a Gucci model when they layer an ensemble with a colorful turtleneck, a striking T-shirt, a vest, a bright jacket, sleek pants, sunglasses, clear heels, socks, and a headscarf, which she emphasized to be a Gucci staple.
Many users began strutting their versions of the outfit to embody the idea of a Gucci model. This, of course, made the brand turn its head towards the social media trend.
Gucci started to repost some of the videos and even noted in the captions that a selected number of users from the challenge will be chosen to be a part of the label’s upcoming project.
