Last month, the Pentagon officially announced that it had launched an unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) task force to investigate sighting of unknown aircrafts. Now, it looks like Japan is following suit with its own military personnel readied for the search of unidentified foreign objects (UFO).
On Monday, Japan’s defense minister Taro Kono instructed the nation’s self-defense forces (SDF) to monitor and report any UFO sightings that could potentially affect national security.
A Japanese news agency reported that Kono had spoken to Mark Esper, the US secretary of defense, and UFOs appeared to be a part of the conversation.
The Japanese ministry declared that the SDF hasn’t encountered any UFOs thus far, but it will continue to investigate and assess any data collected about related sightings.
