Earlier this year, Instagram user and burn survivor Jadiant, whose real name is John Quinn, expressed how much the Deadpool films have inspired him by cosplaying the titular character without the mask.
Quinn shared an Instagram post of himself, dressed as a mask-less Deadpool, and even learned how to do a split for added authenticity.
“Deadpool has honestly made me way more confident. Anyone who has read or watched anything about Deadpool, knows his face and body are pretty messed up. So it’s only natural that I cosplay him,” Quinn wrote in the post.
He also said that he wanted to make his costume as authentic as possible by choosing not to wear a mask. Quinn also shared how the character has boosted his self-esteem and helped him embrace who he is.
The inspiring image was later spotted by Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds, who commented on the post.
“Holy s**t, Jadiant, this made my year. Can’t even describe what this post means to me. Also, I can do the splits… but only once a year. And it has to be in the lobby of a hospital,” Reynolds wrote.
Quinn then responded to Reynolds’ comment by saying, “So worth it.” Check out the moving post below.
