British retailer Argos has become the butt of jokes after promoting a pair of curtains that looked similar to a pack of cigarettes.
The store advertised some printed border eyelet curtains at the price of £5.99 (US$7.61). The curtains have drapes in a mustard color, while the rest of them are in an off-white shade.
The ad showed the curtains hanging from a pole and falling in waves, making them look like 10 vertical cylinders. People pointed out that it bore a striking resemblance to a pack of cigarettes.
“These new curtains at Argos are smoking,” a Twitter user joked. “For just £5.99 you can have a pack of Superking cigarettes as curtains,” another chimed in.
