Netflix Teases ‘Haunting Of Bly Manor’ By Putting Up Demonic Estate On Zillow

You’ve seen your fair share of nightmarish property listings—and while you’ve possibly flirted with the idea of staying in houses advertised through badly-doctored images, it would behoove you to think twice before renting this property that’s described as “a perfectly splendid 17th-century home in the English Countryside.”
Ahead of the 9 October release of The Haunting of Bly Manor, Netflix has placed a listing of the horror house on real estate platform Zillow.
The property sounds majestic on paper, boasting hand-carved doors, a “stunning garden, a lively statuary, a mesmerizing lake… a spacious kitchen, a study for business, a classroom for perfectly splendid children,” and “portraits and artifacts that are as old as the manor itself.”
The listing, however, lends a few tiny clues about why the house has apparently been up on Zillow for an “eternity.” The master wing, for one, is off-bounds for some reason. The owner also thought to mention an antique doll collection in the basement.
Suddenly, the “airy and expansive quality” touted in the page doesn’t seem so attractive, does it?
