Apple has unveiled new upgrades to its operating systems recently, but some users have started to face issues with excessive battery drains following the update.
A Twitter user reported having their battery reduced from 90 percent to three percent in a matter of an hour after the iOS 14 update.
Apple has confirmed that reduced battery life could be tied to the latest update. In a
blog post, it shared that users who have upgraded to iOS 14.0 and watchOS 7.0 might encounter “increased battery drain on [their] iPhone or Apple Watch.”
The tech company also stated the update might affect the Health app and GPS-enabled workouts.
However, Apple has a quick fix for these battery issues. The company has recommended affected users to first unpair their watch and phone, before creating a backup through iCloud.
Next, they are advised to erase their content and settings before shutting their devices off. They can then restore their devices via the iCloud backup.
