Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been diagnosed with COVID-19 recently, and many are now worried about the group photo he shared hours before his test results.
The Portuguese soccer federation announced on Wednesday that the 35-year-old has contracted coronavirus even though he did not experience any symptoms.
A couple of hours before he received his result, Ronaldo shared a group photo of himself having a meal with his fellow Portuguese teammates with no social distancing in place.
Many fans began requesting the athlete to take down the photo, while Associated Press football correspondent Rob Harris voiced out his concern with a tweet reading, “Not much social distancing at the Portugal team meal yesterday.”
Despite Ronaldo’s COVID-19 status, the federation declared that test results from Wednesday for the rest of the Portugal team are “all negative.”
