The Joe Biden team has been determined to carry out his presidential campaign virtually, and this resolve has even made its way to the ultimate virtual destination of the times, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, through digital yard signs and clothing.
Biden’s representatives promised to reveal more Animal Crossing content ahead of the US election in November, and it turns out that they meant a full-fledged Animal Crossing island called ‘Biden Island’, which actually has a nice ring to it.
Audiences can enjoy a live-streamed tour of Biden Island by the Kinda Funny Games Twitch channel on Friday, 16 October, at 10am PT (1pm ET). Until then, it’s unclear if players will be able to explore the island on their own using an offline Dream Address save file.
It’d be interesting to find out how the campaign has used its custom designs to bring Biden Island to life, what sorts of personalities have settled there, and which villagers will be rocking Joe Biden-themed merchandise. Stay tuned.
