Sony PlayStation has partnered with Transport for London to take over some of the city’s Underground stations with designs of the console’s iconic shapes and popular video games for the PS5 release.
The roundel signs at the entrances of Oxford Circus Tube station now sport the PlayStation controller buttons. The same symbols are also plastered on the interior walls of the Bakerloo, Victoria, and Central Line platforms.
Several other stations, including Mile End, Seven Sisters, and Lancaster Gate, have also been rebranded for the campaign.
The Mile End station signage now reads “Miles End” to note the release of
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, while the Seven Sisters station has been renamed after the racing game
Gran Turismo 7 Sisters ahead of the upcoming installment.
West Ham now adopts the moniker, “Horizon Forbidden West Ham,” paying tribute to the forthcoming sequel of
Horizon Zero Dawn. Meanwhile, Lancaster Gate now goes by “Ratchet and Clankaster Gate” after the
Ratchet and Clank adventure game.
The revamp at the Oxford Circus Tube station will be up until 19 November 2020, while the Mile End, Lancaster Gate, Seven Sisters, and West Ham stations will feature their new décor until 16 December 2020.
