A character from US TV series Chuck has left Japanese viewers in hysterics after he wore a t-shirt with an unusual Japanese character printed on it.
In season two of the show, Morgan, played by actor Joshua Gomez, donned a black t-shirt with a Japanese letter printed on it. The phrase was meant to translate into “I’m huge in Japan,” but due to some errors in the characters, the phrase turned out to read, “huge penis.”
Japanese viewers had a good laugh after seeing the mishap. “I envy his self-confidence,” a viewer poked fun at the error. “At least he didn’t get this inked on him forever as a tattoo,” another said.
Previously, singer Ariana Grande suffered the same unfortunate incident when she got Japanese characters tattooed on her body. She had meant to ink “7 Rings” on her palm, but it ended up reading “Japanese barbecue grill.”
