Heineken has maximized whatever space it has with a billboard by transforming it into a 3D ‘Outdoor Bar’ that drivers can stop by at for a quick thirst-quencher.
The three-day activation, launched by advertising agency Publicis Brazil from 10 to 13 December, invited motorists along Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to grab a free zero-alcohol Heineken 0.0 beer from a bartender at an “unprecedented bar-shaped billboard,” therefore making it possible for them to drink and drive safely.
“Drink before driving? Now you can,” the creative read.
As shown in visuals from the campaign, drivers didn’t have to step out of their cars to get a drink. The advertisement worked like a drive-thru, with the bartender handing out the beers from an arm’s length away.
Heineken aimed to show that, with Heineken 0.0, drinkers can have their happy hour any time of the day, even when taking to the road.
