To celebrate NASA’s Perseverance rover mission to Mars, Krispy Kreme is offering a unique and out-of-this-world doughnut for one day only.
The brand is releasing the Mars-inspired doughnut, designed to look just like the Red Planet, on 18 February.
The caramel-dipped and the chocolate cream-filled doughnut is topped with a red planet swirl. It is sprinkled with chocolate cookie crumb for the authentic dusty Martian touch.
“The landing of Perseverance on Mars will be an epic and important achievement,” said Krispy Kreme’s chief marketing officer Dave Skena. “So, we’re celebrating the best way we know how: with an amazing new doughnut discovery right here on earth.”
NASA has also scheduled a live streaming of Perseverance’s landing this Thursday, 18 February, so you get to enjoy watching Perseverance making its mark while munching on the Mars doughnut.
ONE DAY ONLY, 2/18, grab your own piece of the Red Planet to celebrate @NASAJPL Perseverance Rover touching down on Mars!🍩🚀 This treat will be out of this world! #CountdownToMars #krispykreme
