There’s been great speculation about the meaning behind McDonald’s legendary Golden Arches, such as it being a subliminal reminder of nourishing maternal breasts. But you’ve probably never seen the monogram spell out anything besides “McDonald’s.”
New surprising visuals by marketing communications agency DDB Colombia imagine the simple ‘M’ emblem creating full words that don’t even start with the letter M. The photos see packaging being aligned to read, “Yummy,” “Brunch,” “Bday,” “Love,” and more.
All this was achieved without tweaking the original design in any way nor adding any copy to the images. Marvelous and magnificent.
DDB Colombia explains that the campaign, entitled Say It With M, reinforces the understated power of the Golden Arches. “This was a new way to communicate that all good moments are in McDonald’s,” the firm adds.
