It takes a great deal of effort to get cats to exercise, and sometimes, humans need the rest too. Instead of clocking in catnap hours and waking up to your house being turned topsy-turvy, though, Nerf has designed a special blaster that makes felines work for their food. After all, they’re not paying the rent.
The Nerf Cat Catnip Blaster is just as it sounds. Instead of foam darts, you’ll fill it with catnip discs to play fetch with your kitten—essentially encouraging its dormant hunting instincts—and then watch it go ballistic over the cat’s equivalent of weed.
For extra stimulation, the blaster is equipped with a built-in laser projector that, with batteries inserted, beams a red LED light.
There’s a catch, though. The toy blaster is advertised as ideal for kittens, as its spring-loaded mechanism is only able to shoot catnip discs to about 10 feet. But that also means it’s perfect for ultra-lazy cats.
