Reminiscent of the famous (albeit deceptive) Kissing Sailor photo that was taken at the end of WWII, two Facebook notification icons appeared to be sharing a romantic moment after a flurry of controversy involving the social network.
Last Friday, days after Facebook endured one of its greatest blackouts ever and had its questionable business practices exposed by a whistleblower, the red notification symbols atop the bell and message were touching, as if sharing a tender kiss.

After everything that the social network had gone through in the past week, this little “problem” was such a respite from the hellfire. Users didn’t seem too mad at the glitch or love bug.
Like all beautiful moments, this one was fleeting too, and the “kiss” between the scarlet “lips” was broken shortly after.
