Popular film rating site Rotten Tomatoes has announced it will be teaming up with TikTok to allow users to link to trailers, reviews, and information of their favorite movies and television shows.
Now, if a user wants to upload a video about a particular title, they can select Rotten Tomatoes from ‘Jumps’—the integration tool the app uses to connect with other third-party apps. They’ll then be able to search for the film or show in question, and can select the add-to-video button to add the content to their video.
“Films and TV clips and soundbites have been high on TikTok’s For You feeds, with commenters often requesting more information on the content they’re discovering,” said Rotten Tomatoes.
“With the new Rotten Tomatoes TikTok Jump, creators can easily inform and entertain audiences by accessing a treasure trove of movie, TV and streaming-related content, video, information on where to watch, reviews, and more on Rotten Tomatoes.”
Other companies that have partnered TikTok with Jumps include Quizlet, BuzzFeed, Jumprope, and even Wikipedia—allowing them to gain a greater foothold in the millennial and Gen Z market.
