At long last, Snapchat will allow users to change their usernames later this month, so you can get rid of the embarrassing nickname you picked out ages ago.
According to TechCrunch, changing your username will not affect other aspects of your account, including friend lists, Snap codes, Snap scores, and more.
Starting February 23, users will be able to edit their usernames within the app, though each person can only change their selection once a year. As with other social media platforms, usernames which have been taken up can’t be reused.
To change your username, as per Fortune, simply tap the Bitmoji icon to access your profile information, click on the gear icon for settings, and select your username to change it.
In addition to changing nicknames, Snap has also announced a new partnership with Ticketmaster to allow users to discover live entertainment events near their locations.
