Elton John Announces Foray Into Streetwear: ‘I’ve Never Been A Skateboarder’

Elton John might have worn all sorts of hats on stage, but, at least in terms of style, streetwear would hardly be in his comfort zone.
Fans would thus be pleasantly surprised to learn that the 74-year-old music icon has joined hands with streetwear cult label Palace Skateboards to chronicle his iconic wardrobe on sweaters and tracksuits.
The limited collection, of course, includes a skate deck.
“I never thought I’d see my face on a skateboard,” the Rocket Man muses.

“I’m always looking to the future, but the range brings back some fantastic memories—it really captures the essence of youth and freedom from my time on the road in the ‘70s. I’ve never been a skateboarder, but that’s not going to stop me wearing the lot.”
The selection will be available to purchase from Friday, March 11.
