The Dark Knight has risen in a different form. DC Comics is debuting a brand-new, kickass logo for the superhero. It’s more minimal but doesn’t look that way.
Jorge Jiménez, an artist for DC Comics, shared a first look at the revamp, Batman’s first in a little over a decade. The new logo will grace issues beginning from Batman #125.
For years, the Batman wordmark and symbol have been kept apart, but the new version merges them such that the wings now live in the text, casting a shadow.

As reported by CBR, the last time the Batman series took on a new logo was back in 2011.
This recent makeover marks the dawn of a new era for Batman editorial, as it coincides with writer Chip Zdarsky taking over the creative team.
Batman #125 will debut with the new logomark on July 5, 2022.
