McDonald’s Diners Can Now Thank Crew With Rewards Customized For Workers
By Alexa Heah, 25 Apr 2022
Beginning last week, McDonald’s launched a brand-new initiative to acknowledge standout employees. Dubbed Thank You Crew, the campaign will enable customers nationwide to recognize crew and managers who go above and beyond to deliver incredible service.
The brand is asking customers to submit personal stories of how employees have made their days better, be it the burger makers behind the counter, the manager who went out of her way to procure the best Happy Meal toy, or a drive-thru crew member who expedited their meal when they were in a hurry.
“So many of our customers have shared special moments with our crew—from celebrating important milestones in their lives to helping them get through the day with that special treat,” said Tiffanie Boyd, Senior Vice President of McDonald’s USA.
After collecting the stories, McDonald’s will recognize these amazing workers in its restaurants across the US with “one-of-a-kind thank-you experiences” personalized to their tastes and interests.
For example, a crew team at an outlet in Atlanta was visited by one of their all-time favorite musicians, Lil Yachty, to share a meal with them and acknowledge how they give their best to serve customers day in and day out.
A former employee himself, the rapper said: “I give huge credit to all the McDonald’s crew showing up and working hard every single day. They deserve big things, real celebrations, and I’m here for that.”
Want to thank your local McDonald’s employee for going out of their way to make your day a little better? Head here to submit your personal anecdotes and give them the kudos they deserve.
