Calling all football fans—the San Francisco 49ers, in partnership with the 49ers Foundation, has just unveiled its team-branded California license plates that will benefit the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) in a bid to make outdoor recreational spaces more accessible to residents.
Of course, the specially-designed license plates feature the team’s iconic SF oval with a red, gold, and white trim to match the stripes on the 49ers’ standard home and away kits. And as a nod to the state’s 280 beloved parks, the plate comes emblazoned with a “Faithful to State Parks” slogan.
Fans can choose from a sequential or personalized plate for their cars, trucks, trailers, or motorcycles, though all vehicles must be registered in the state of California.
In addition to expanding the state’s natural habitats, part of the proceeds from the sale of the license plates will go towards the Foundation’s mission of using football to educate and empower youth in the region through its direct programs.
“Although the 49ers Foundation operates out of Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, our goal is to benefit youth far beyond just the Bay Area,” said Executive Director Justin Prettyman.
“Part of that goal is ensuring that youth lead healthy lifestyles and have access to California’s world-renowned outdoor spaces for generations to come. We are thrilled to partner with the CNRA and can’t wait to see how far the Faithful travels with their 49ers license plates,” he added.
