Twitter Revives Its Chirp Conference To Draw In Developers Worldwide
By Alexa Heah, 22 Jun 2022
Developers, heads up! Twitter has just announced it will be bringing back its Chirp Developer Conference this year, which will take place on November 16 in San Francisco.
According to the company, the revival hopes to connect the brand’s team with developers from around the globe to celebrate “the innovation developers have brought to Twitter, reveal opportunities that await, and introduce a few surprises along the way.”
The event, which will be held in person and streamed online thereafter, will comprise a keynote speech, technical sessions, and the opportunity to meet the Twitter Development Platform team and connect with others in the industry.
In addition, the company is introducing the Chirp Developer Challenge, in which it’s tasking developers to find the best uses for Twitter’s API v2 within the categories of Content Discovery apps, Conversation Safety tools, and Public Good apps.
Winners will walk away with prizes totaling US$520,000, and any application can be submitted regardless of when it was made, as long as it makes use of Twitter API v2 as a standalone service.
Registration for the Chirp Developer Conference will be open soon. Head here to keep up-to-date on details.
