If you have ever found yourself undecided on a piece of furniture from IKEA, the furniture giant’s Kreativ app is here to save the day. The new augmented-reality tool virtually empties out your room and gives you a fresh area to work with—along with simulations of IKEA furniture.

The Kreativ Scene Scanner, as called by IKEA, uses LiDAR technology to accurately visualize furniture within the measurements of your living space. It can even delete your own furniture, giving you a blank canvas to envision your new room without having to throw anything out. After which, you can use IKEA’s catalog to furnish the space.
The app can be accessed by iPhone, iPad, or through the IKEA website. If your device is not equipped with LiDAR, it would still work fine as you would just have to take a series of photographs and the system will provide a wide-angle view of them.

You can also share your creation with others, as well as save furniture you want to a shopping cart.
And if you’re lost for ideas, IKEA will be uploading 50 new 3D showrooms for you to get your interior designer on.

IKEA has previously launched an AR app that lets you see furniture in your room using an app. However, it didn’t allow you to remove the pre-existing furniture. The app will definitely be saving lots of people a lot of time in deciding what would look best in their homes.
The company is launching Kreativ in the US first, and a global rollout has not yet been announced.
