It’s been 30 years since Sailor Moon first soared into fans’ hearts. To celebrate this icon for girl power and Japanese manga, Jimmy Choo has created an opulent boot that’s faithful by to the wardrobe of the main superheroine.
The dazzling, knee-high fuchsia boots are encrusted with about 19,000 Swarovski crystals and stamped with crescent moon symbols.

Unsurprisingly, the shoes bear a stellar price tag, going for €12,000 (US$12,500). With their four-inch heels, there’s also no guarantee you’ll be able to run from baddies, though they’ll give you the nudge to step forward and put up a fight.
As noted by NERDBOT, the franchise’s ties with luxury fashion go a long way back. Naoko Takeuchi, the creator of the Sailor Moon characters, based Princess Serenity’s dress off a real Dior gown.

Still, Jimmy Choo and Sailor Moon aren’t the most obvious of allies. The two, however, describe that they share core beliefs of self-expression, individuality, hope, and courage.
The flashy boots are made-to-order, and anyone interested in looking kickass in them should contact Jimmy Choo’s bespoke services team here. A pair will also be on show at the Sailor Moon Museum inside the Roppongi Museum in Tokyo.
