An Airbnb host is making you an offer you can’t refuse: The Godfather house. Located in Staten Island, New York, the sprawling brick mansion was home to the Corleone family. So, here’s your chance to live out your mafia Don dreams on the 50th anniversary of the movie.
The 6,248-square-foot Tudor-style mansion offers five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a gym, swimming pool, game room, and an English-styled pub in the basement, making the house a worthy abode for even the most notorious of mafia bosses.
The property’s façade served as the exterior for the house in the 1972 film, while most interior shots were captured at Filmways Studios in Harlem and Manhattan.
It was most famously seen in the opening scene during the reception of Connie Corleone’s wedding. Several other scenes were also filmed on the property, including Vito Corleone’s heart attack.
Giani Russo, who played Carlo Rizzi, was a Staten Island native. He knew about the house while growing up there and recommended it to the production team during the filming of the movie.
The mafia clan’s mansion will be available for a 30-day rental, starting at US$50 a night in August. Bookings will open on July 27 at 1 p.m. EST.
