Apple Curiously Makes Its Case Against iPhone Covers In New Ad

Preserving your phone battery’s lifespan by charging it only when it fully runs out is now a myth. So is having to protect it with a cover—according to Apple, that is.
Its new 38-second film, entitled Edge, will surely put tech geeks on edge. It shows an iPhone 13, wearing nothing but its birthday suit, slowly inching its way to the corner of a table. The scene calls to mind Mufasa’s descent in Lion King; the only difference is the phone survives.
The iPhone 13 remains as good as new after the drop, even without a case, thanks to its state-of-the-art glass. “iPhone 13 with Ceramic Shield. Tougher than any smartphone glass,” the video’s description reads. “Relax, it’s iPhone.” Purportedly, the material is four times as durable as the glass on previous models when dropped from a height.
As many would be aware, Apple manufactures its own protective cases. However, for those who appreciate the sleek nakedness of an uncovered iPhone, the company assures them that it’s okay to take the plunge.
