Ever thought you could win the games in Squid Game? Well, get ready to put that theory to the test as a real-life immersive experience is coming to the US.
Netflix is bringing this adults-exclusive gaming experience to life in partnership with Immersive Gamebox, taking nuances of the action-thriller to locations such as Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Denver, and New York’s Lower East Side.
In this 60-minute digital adventure, groups of two to six participants will be locked in the company’s ‘Gameboxes’, where a series of challenges inspired by the hit show will be thrown at them.
Players will each have to don 3D motion-tracking visors to navigate their way through the game. One by one, members will be eliminated until the sole survivor claims victory.
The challenges include Red Light, Green Light; Dalgona; Glass Bridge; and the titular Squid Game.
Netflix is on a streak of bringing its biggest shows to different platforms, from real-life experiences of shows such as Stranger Things and Bridgerton to a myriad of video games on its gaming platform, and its Squid Game reality show, as the streaming giant makes moves to celebrate its programs’ impact.
