Most of the time, the hesitance with switching to another operating system is about the learning curve. For that, both Apple and Android have poured considerable efforts into allaying these concerns and making their cases about why their platforms might be better than the other.
While its past campaigns were designed to take down the competitor, Apple has this time around unleashed an unusually useful video tackling frequently-asked questions by Android users who are contemplating to get an iPhone.
In four minutes, the tech giant helpfully addresses concerns about data transfers, trade-in options, and the apparent uncontested reliability of iPhones. The approach is, admittedly, pretty clinical, but the real way to get first-timers on board is to make them feel welcome, not judge their past choices.
Viewers are also directed to head to the official ‘Switch to iPhone’ help site for more information.
The video notably comes just a month ahead of the expected unveiling for the iPhone 14 lineup, which will supposedly include two 6.1-inch models (iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro) and two 6.7-inch models (iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max).
