Tiffany & Co is entering the e-sports arena with a silver and gem-studded trophy that will be presented to winners of the annual League of Legends (LoL) Summoner’s Cup.

The new trophy stands at 27 inches and has trimmed off the bulbous finish of its predecessor for something more modern and angular. Five stunning blue gems will be set into the trophy along with name plates for the five different positions in LoL. At its base, the names of the winning team will be engraved into a silver plaque.

The design was created in tandem with LoL creator Riot Games and took over four months to perfect. After that, the luxury jewelry brand used its Rhode Island workshop to produce the coveted award.

Tiffany & Co has been making trophies for different sports for over a hundred years now, from baseball to basketball, tennis, and football. It’s about time it moves into digital sports too.

Alexandre Arnault, vice president of communication at Tiffany & Co. stated that this marked an important step for the brand in the e-sports community and opens a new chapter in its handcrafted trophy legacy.

The LoL championship is heading back to North America this September for the first time since 2016. 24 of the best teams in the world will compete against each other for the right to win the title and Tiffany & Co.’s gorgeous trophy.
