Domino’s Pizza Recruits Toy Dinosaur As Part-Timer After It Was Left Behind

Bitey the toy T-rex has been living with his family for a while now. But as with all loved pets or toys, he does not pay rent. Perhaps it was out of gratitude, with a tinge of guilt, that the figure one day found himself separated from his human best friend in a Domino’s Pizza location in New Zealand, which led to him becoming a worker and potentially earning his keep.
As shared by Bored Panda, the family stopped by one evening to pick up some pies, and unfortunately left Bitey, the companion of one of their kids, behind.
The parents called the joint to make sure the dino was safe and sound on the premises, to which the staff looked around and reassured them that Bitey was doing great. As it was late, the parents said they’d return the following day to pick Bitey up.
Instead of letting Bitey wallow in his lonesome, though, the staffers employed him as he waited for his family. They even gave him his own name tag and hat. The label was too large, but Bitey isn’t one of those names you’d easily forget, so all was good.
During his evening at the restaurant, Bitey learned how to prepare pizzas, take down orders, and even wash dishes. Tiny arms, big ambitions.
Needless to say, he and his coworkers had an uproarious time.
Last week, one of our stores received a worried call asking to check if 'Bitey' the T-Rex had been left in the foyer...
