Fake heiress Anna Delvey grabbed headlines this year after a Netflix series told the story of how the Russian-born scammer masqueraded as a German aristocrat, and stole over US$200,000 from New York elite. 

Not one to shy away from the spotlight, the infamous con artist held her first-ever solo art show while in police custody, and even teamed up with Basquiat forger Alfredo Martinez to showcase her prison art.
