In a greater push for sustainability and the good ol’ motto of “reduce, reuse, recycle,” Balenciaga has launched its very own resale program where customers can trade pre-loved goods for cash or credit.
The luxury brand has joined the likes of Mr Porter, Net-a-porter, and Ganni in partnering with Reflaunt for this endeavor, which integrates seamlessly onto the fashion house’s site and allows customers to list items on over 25 marketplaces with just a few clicks.
Under the new initiative, everything from Balenciaga’s iconic sock boots to its hoodies “in a very good condition” can be resold, with the brand promising the “highest payout” to customers who choose to resell via its official site.
At the moment, the program is available to customers in Italy, France, the UK, the US, and Singapore, whereby sellers can receive the payout via bank transfer or redeem an extra 20% value of credit from their sales to purchase newer products from the brand.
Simply arrange a complimentary pick-up from your home or drop the item off at a store, and the program will take care of the photography, pricing, listing, and shipping to customers looking for secondhand items across the globe.
In the world of trends, sustainability is the new black. Head over here to learn how you can help the fashion that you once loved live longer.
