McDonald’s Turns Food Into Doors To Remind That Delivery Is Only A Knock Away

McDonald’s France is opening more doors for meal options to consider when it’s late at night and your refrigerator is emptied out.
In a striking campaign released both out of home and digitally, advertising agency TBWA\Paris has created a trio of images reimagining McDonald’s menu items as different styles of doors—driving home the point that there’s always McDelivery to quell hunger pangs.
Expressing the flexibility of McDonald’s food delivery service, the graphics portray different environments at various points of the day.
The Big Mac, for instance, is pictured as the garage door of a suburban home at mid-day. Meanwhile, McDonald’s French fries are depicted as the double door of a warm-lit city apartment building during the night.
McDonald’s also dreamed up its ice cream sundae in the form of a frosted (get it?) stained-glass door of a historical, Haussmann-style building.
The campaign suggests that wherever you are throughout the day, McDonald’s can be right at your doorstep.
The imagery calls to mind an unrelated project by Leo Burnett Frankfurt for McDonald’s Germany, in which homes have been illustrated as hungry households to promote the McDelivery service.
