Traffic-Stopping McDonald’s Ads By DoorDash Will Make Drivers Want A Burger—Fast
By Mikelle Leow, 16 Mar 2023
McDonald’s Golden Arches might be one of the most recognizable symbols in the world, but time and time again, the brand has proven that it doesn’t need it to strike a sense of familiarity.
Take, for example, these colored stripes you can almost taste, let alone decipher. Conceptualized by creative agency No Fixed Address for DoorDash and McDonald’s in Canada, these visual treats depict the Big Mac and Egg McMuffin. But you already know that.
The campaign, cleverly entitled Faster Food, imagines the sandwiches being transported at high speeds, using just color to convey motion.
The graphics are so flexible that No Fixed Address has stretched them for wider setups like billboards, creating the illusion of food items on the move alongside drivers. Whether in vertical or horizontal perspectives for digital or print mediums, the intended subjects are still scrumdiddlyumptious-ly distinguishable.
Two words: Message delivered.
