To commemorate the International Day of Forests, UK’s carbon-neutral toilet roll Serious Tissues has teamed up with marketing agency VMLY&R to create one-of-a-kind literature to be read on the great white throne.
Cleverly dubbed Kamasutree, the book—which is entirely made from recycled materials—features playful illustrations and tongue-in-cheek storylines that revolve around 24 different “positions” to engage in “tree-loving.”
According to the brand, one million trees are cut down to make toilet paper each day, which unsurprisingly isn’t good news for the Earth’s fight against the pressing issue of climate change.

Through the comedic book, Serious Tissues hopes to bring its tree-less solution to the forefront—highlighting its rolls that are made from 100% recycled paper. Not only is it carbon neutral and plastic free, but one tree is planted for each roll sold.
To date, the initiative has planted 1.7 million trees at a rate of 25,000 trees a week, or the equivalent of six Hyde Parks. Chris Baker, Founder of Serious Tissues wants the “seriously silly book” to encourage others to show more love for trees.

Even environmentally-friendly projects can’t resist a juvenile joke, so the Kamasutree will only be available in a limited-edition print run of 69 copies. Customers can stand a chance to win through the brand’s Instagram page.
If you don’t get your hands on a copy, fret not. The company will be making the book available online as an e-book, so you’ll be able to swipe through it on a smartphone or tablet during your next trip to the bathroom.
