When Easter arrives, there’s one treat that chocolate lovers can’t resist: the iconic Cadbury Creme Egg. Subway is taking the adoration for the irresistible treat to the next level and celebrating the chocolatey goodness in all its glory.
The sandwich company is releasing a new gooey menu item with Cadbury’s chocolate at the center. According to Subway, the meal was crafted by its Sandwich Artists, and have “perfected, pressed and toasted the Sub that oozes delicious, melted milk chocolate and soft fondant.”
The dessert treat will be served up on Italian White Bread, and it seems like this is one sandwich you won’t be able to customize.
Regardless, Subway will give these subs away for free in the spirit of Easter. The promotion is limited to the UK, and stores at Tottenham Court Road, London, Ranelagh Street, Liverpool, Peniel Green Road, Swansea, and Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, will each receive a limited number of the Creme Egg specials.
Unfortunately for Cadbury lovers in the US, your Easter egg basket won’t be filled with a Subway sandwich this year.
The Creme Egg sandwiches will be up for grabs for one day only on April 7.
