Lamborghini Divulges Early Details Of First All-Electric Car, With Space For 4

It might be a while before it happens, but Lamborghini will eventually take the high road with plans to roll out a full-fledged, battery-electric model, following its hybrid hypercar that was unleashed just last month.

An actual electric Lamborghini is poised to hit the road only in 2028. With that said, the company’s leadership has already disclosed some details about how this supercar could look and perform.

Federico Foschini, chief marketing and sales officer at Lamborghini, told Motor Authority at the ongoing 2023 New York International Auto Show that the forthcoming electric vehicle will feature “comfortable” rear seats as well as deliver 300 miles of range when fully charged.

Last week, CEO Stephan Winkelman shared with Motor1 that this EV would be a 2+2 (four-seater) grand tourer, which is “missing” from the Lamborghini family.

The automaker will only be confident about debuting its EV in five years’ time because it first wants to send out some feelers and see how other companies are handling existing pain points with going electric, such as the lack of charging networks and charging speeds, Jalopnik reports.

Lamborghini also has its sights on a range target of 300 miles so as to lower range anxiety.
