Sky Bridges Will Connect Three Stunning Skyscrapers In Mid-Air Across The Sky

At the start of the year, Zaha Hadid Architects unveiled an upcoming Sci-Fi museum in Chengdu, China, reminiscent of an efflorescent “star cloud.” Now, the architectural studio is back with another project in the nation, in the form of three impressive skyscrapers.
Dubbed the Wuhan Taikang Financial Centre, the series of buildings will be located in Wuhan’s Hankou Riverside Business District. The most interesting part of the project? The three towers will be connected at multiple points through sky bridges in the air.
This will allow occupants to move easily among the buildings without having to travel to the ground floor. According to New Atlas, the architects have yet to confirm the heights of the skyscrapers, though the towers will comprise 52 stories, 47 stories, and 50 stories, respectively.
The interiors of each building will be home to office spaces, a hotel, retailers, and restaurants, while the ground level includes a central garden courtyard. In addition, the sky bridges will be full of amenities, including rooftop terraces offering picturesque skyline views.
Like most of the studio’s other works, the Wuhan Taikang Financial Centre is set to achieve the LEED Gold green building standard eco-milestone. The towers will be equipped with energy-efficient heating and cooling, rainwater collection points, and smart monitoring systems.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 2025, with the foundation and below-ground works already built.
