Step Into Bulgari’s Tokyo Hotel That Marries Italian & Japanese Craftsmanship

Travelers looking for a luxurious stay in Tokyo, Japan, can now hop on over to the Bulgari Hotel Tokyo, another notch in the Rome-based jeweler’s chain of five-star accommodations that can be found all over the globe.
The compact, 98-room lodge, which sits between the 40th and 45th stories of the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu skyscraper, is located in the Yaesu 2-Chome North District, right in the heart of the capital, just a stone’s throw away from Nihombashi and Ginza.
Within its interior, visitors can revel in the merging of Italian and Japanese craftsmanship, with the hotel’s design featuring elements from both cultures in everything from carpentry to stone masons, textile artisans, and every other detail.
Its Roman inspiration can be seen in the hotel’s multiple terraces—perhaps a nod to the centuries-old tradition of outdoor dining—as well as its warm color palette, with elements of tangerine and saffron highlighted by accents of browns and whites.
Landscape designer Enzo Enea has lent a touch to the stunning rooftop Bulgari Bar, with Japanese yuzu trees planted on the east while Italian lemon trees sway along to the breeze on the west, all mixed in with the fragrance of jasmine.
Dining options aren’t to be snubbed, either, as guests can choose to opt for an Omakase menu at sushi bar HÅseki, put together by three-star Michelin chef, Kenji Gyoten while pairing the meal with rare sakes and whiskies.
