What’s iconic, has bear ears, and is blue almost all over? Lee’s mascot as a Be@rbrick doll in denim overalls, it appears.

The jeans brand is building a dream collaboration with Medicom Toys, the maker of Be@rbrick, to reimagine its classic Buddy Lee character. The resulting collection features graphic T-shirts and jackets emblazoned with endearing imagery of the Lee mascot.

The true stars, it seems, are the trio of Lee Be@rbrick figurines in 100%, 400%, and 1000% sizes, decked out from (a bear’s) head to toe in denim gear.

“This collaboration feels like the perfect mesh of two global icons,” revels Joe Boyles, the vice president of global collaborations at Lee. He adds that the apparel helps to create “a wearable connection” with the dolls.

The series will retail at Lee locations as well as online, along with concept stores in New York City and Boston. The Be@arbricks are going from US$200 to US$800, while the shirts are priced from US$45 to US$185.
