Streetwear enthusiasts are considered to be among the tastemakers of society. Naturally, they’ll need the right gadgets to match their overall aesthetic.
Luckily, A Bathing Ape, or BAPE, is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and one of its birthday rituals this year involves collaborating with the ASUS Design Center to unleash a special-edition laptop. The upcoming ASUS Vivobook S BAPE Edition notebook takes the high-performance Vivobook S 15 OLED and dresses it up in the Japanese cult label’s iconic camo.
ASUS does mention on the landing page that the launch will feature a bundle, and the video suggests that a camo-patterned mouse as well as a figurine of BAPE’s ‘Baby Milo’ mascot will be thrown into the mix.
Functionality-wise, the laptop’s Vivobook S 15 base means that it will be powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core i9 H-series processor and a 1TB SSD, feature a 15.6-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED display with a 0.2 ms response time and Dolby Atmos integration, as well as be protected by a military-grade metallic finish.
The consumer electronics manufacturer also touts the tie-in as a combination of “cutting-edge technology and beautiful craftsmanship” that will “WOW THE WORLD”—some hype words worthy of hypebeasts.
Release details haven’t been announced, but interested collectors can now sign up for updates on the ASUS website.
