In partnership withPublicis Conseil/Mexico and Digitas Mexico, Recetas Nestlé has recently launched a new platform to help make cooking more accessible to those suffering from mobility issues, such as arthritis.
It’s no secret that Mexico is famed for its delicious cuisine, with cooking a passion of many in the country. However, the rate of arthritis diagnosis in the nation is 60% higher than in the rest of the world, resulting in many home cooks being unable to wield spatulas as they wish.
To help those plagued with this autoimmune disease reinvigorate their love for being in the kitchen, Recetas Nestlé tapped on the expertise of a physical therapist, dietitian, and chef to come up with a series of arthritis-friendly recipes that are easy to follow.
Dubbed Recipes vs Arthritis, the site allows users to combine hand exercises and anti-inflammatory ingredients to help those with the disease continue indulging in their passion for cooking. Each recipe even comes with relevant information about how to deal with difficult symptoms.
Diego Wallach, Executive Creative Director of Publicis Conseil, told LBB Online that having a recognizable name like Nestlé boosting the visibility of a silent disease such as arthritis is “invaluable” and offers patients a message of inclusion and a better quality of life.
