These glammed-up commuters are all dressed up with everywhere to go.
A stunning activation by Maybelline New York is turning heads as it sports public transport modes in London with thick, volumized eyelashes, all geared up for a fun day out.
Shared by the London Beautiful Life account on Instagram, the video features a realistic CGI creation of the front of a train being brushed by a giant tube of Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara.
Another snippet shows a London bus receiving the same treatment to have its lashes on fleek.
The actual beauty product has a ‘Flex Tower’ wand that bends to cover individual lashes from root to tip. Mirroring the technology, the oversized version folds at 90 degrees to reach the hairs attached to the bus and train.
On LinkedIn, creative professionals are praising how the stunt is a great way to harness the magic of computer graphics. “Genius,” comments one person. “Creativity is back.”
“It’s really good CGI, but I’m a little sad that means I don’t get to see a train putting mascara on in person!” remarks another.
It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it campaign—for the lack of a better expression—so maybe it’s a good thing that it lives on the internet for all to enjoy.
