File-sharing platform WeTransfer has partnered with UK indie band JUNGLE, known for its festival performances at events like Coachella and Lollapalooza Brazil, to create an interactive music video that’s a “first-of-its-kind.”
The video, titledBack on 74, offers viewers a unique experience by allowing them to download artworks that appear in the film as they watch.
Throughout the spot, fans will experience JUNGLE’s distinctive visual aesthetic, featuring intricately crafted choreography and audacious one-take photography.
But what sets this video apart is its integration of interactive art elements. As viewers watch the video, they can claim artworks they like, which are then pulled from the canvas in real-time, revealing a blank canvas in their place.
Each viewing session is enriched with six different art pieces from a selection of 10,000 unique works created by JUNGLE’s very own J Lloyd.
This instantaneous change within the film creates a personalized and ever-changing viewing experience for each user, depending on their interactions with the video.
Viewers of the music video should note that only one artwork can be downloaded per viewing session, so it’s best to explore and enjoy the art pieces as they appear throughout the video.
Notably, fans who engage with the interactive video by downloading the content also get a chance to win tickets to JUNGLE’s concert during their 2023 headline US and European tour this fall as an exciting incentive.
According to WeTransfer, its Drops campaign, which features this interactive video, is inspired by the organic creator activity they have observed over the past decade.
The platform has been used by various musical artists, from legendary figures like Prince to modern acts like SAULT, to share music and other related content with their community of fans.
This project between WeTransfer and JUNGLE only marks the beginning of more Drops to come.
