A new tasty (and spooky) treat awaits trainers in the form of Poltchageist, a modified iteration of the well-known Pokémon, Polteageist. This spectral creature is set to make its debut in the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC.
The ghostly inhabitant takes residence within the forlorn tea caddy of a departed tea master.
In a trailer for the new cheeky creature, Poltchageist is seen terrorizing a traditional tea house in Japan. It uses its sword and special matcha dust to wreak havoc on unsuspecting tea drinkers as it sprinkles its magic over them.
Poltchageist is a grass and ghost type Pokémon with a penchant for mending broken objects within ancient abodes, such as damaged teacups and cracked smartphones.
Fans can find the new ghostly addition in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, which is playable in a two-part DLC, The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. The former is poised to drop on September 13, promising an adventure steeped in the rich cultural tapestry of the Kitakami region, inspired by traditional Japanese heritage.
