Apple Sneaks Potential Hints To iPhone 15 In New Invites To ‘Wonderlust’ Event

As September approaches, so does Apple’s tradition of unveiling its latest iPhone offerings alongside an array of incoming devices. This year, Apple’s much-anticipated event takes center stage on September 12 at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET).
One of the first clues to what awaits us lies in the event invitations. Via a leaker called @URedditor, the Wonderlust event invites play host to a visual centerpiece of an animated Apple logo composed of ever-shifting grains of sand.

I might as well point out the obvious here, the colors used for this - they match up with the 15 Pro colors. Not exactly subtle if you ask me, lol. pic.twitter.com/Kdyre4Y9zi
The invite showcases four potential shades for the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro. Longtime Apple enthusiasts will recognize the classic blue and black options, but there’s something new in the palette: a natural titanium hue and a sleek silver variant. Notably missing from the lineup, if the grapevine is to be trusted, is the gold option.
This year, with whispers of a more monochrome iPhone 15 Pro lineup, one can’t help but wonder if the colors and textures on the invite are deliberate teases from the tech giant.
But colors and animations aside, what can we expect from the iPhone 15 lineup? For starters, the shift to USB-C may be upon us. All new devices, including the upcoming range, are rumored to sport this universal connector. This potential move comes as a response to regulations in the European Union, where USB-C is set to become the standard for all tablets and smartphones sold starting next year.
Unifying the connector across its product range would certainly streamline Apple’s offerings and potentially hint at a broader shift away from the classic Lightning port.
Engadget also points out the possibility of thinner bezels and a titanium frame. Users might also have to go for the iPhone 15 Pro if they want a Wi-Fi 6E connection. And there has been talk about potential ‘Ultra’ models added to the lineup.
With September 12 just around the corner, it won’t be long before all these rumors are put to rest.
