Samsung looks to catch drivers on the flippity-flip by first catching their eye with a series of 3D billboards that bring its foldable icons to larger-than-life scale, because “nothing unfolds” like them.
Hinging on iconic, the out-of-home activations dreamed up by creative agency Iris clamped digital billboards with giant versions of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5. Brand ambassadors Fearne Cotton, an English broadcaster, and Raheem Sterling, a winger for the Chelsea soccer club and England national team, posed behind the foldables attached to four advertising spots across London, Manchester, and Liverpool.

Clear Channel produced the campaign, while Starcom handled media planning and buying.

“These new phones are awesome, but folding handsets are an evolving part of the mobile market,” Richard Hayter, group creative director at Iris, acknowledges. “So, when our clients said, ‘go big,’ we took them at their word.”
