Gin brand Bombay Sapphire has teamed up with luxury fashion designer Christian Siriano to create a unique cocktail couture collection, continuing from its previous partnership with director Baz Luhrmann.

Known for his inclusive fashion approach, Siriano drew inspiration directly from Bombay Sapphire gin cocktails to craft a haute couture gown and a capsule collection.

Naturally, the star of the show was the one-of-a-kind gown inspired by the classic French 75 cocktail. It first premiered at the Bombay Sapphire Spring/Summer 2024 New York Fashion Week (NYFW) show.

The dress pays homage to the lively characteristics of the tipple it’s named after, capturing its bubbly effervescence, zesty lemon notes, and the vibrant hues of gin.

Infused with custom Bombay Sapphire-dyed fabrics and designed with the brand’s iconic blue-tinged bottle in mind, the gown embodies the essence of the beloved drink.

But the fashion collaboration doesn’t stop there. To make the garments accessible to a wider audience and inspire creative style experimentation, the duo will release a limited-edition range to the public.

This collection, set to launch just in time for the holiday season, draws inspiration from three iconic gin cocktails: the Bombay Sapphire Gin & Tonic, Martini, and Collins.

“As a designer, I find endless excitement in exploring disruptive ways to construct garments and challenge myself creatively,” explained Siriano.

“Partnering with Bombay Sapphire for the Saw This, Made This campaign has allowed me to design a collection that transforms classic cocktail culture into fashion.”
